Terrifying shots Gorilla scares zoo visitors with a sudden movement

Khaberni - The San Diego Zoo in California, USA, witnessed a terrifying incident when a huge male gorilla rushed towards the separating glass wall of his cage, smashing part of the thick panel in front of dozens of visitors who were shocked by the scene.

A recorded video showed the gorilla named "Denny", who is ten years old, rushing towards the glass wall inside the gorilla's habitat in the park, hitting it with enough force to break a layer of the reinforced triple glass.

The park administration confirmed that the broken barrier was one of the protective layers designed to ensure the safety of visitors, adding that the rest of the wall is still completely safe.

The footage captured the screams of the visitors who immediately moved away from the glass fence after the collision, while the park's care team rushed to check the site and calm the gorilla.

The park administration announced that "Denny" was not injured, and that he would remain under observation with the other gorilla residing in the same cage until the damaged panel is replaced.

In this regard, the spokesperson of the park explained that such behavior is natural among male gorillas during their adolescence, as this category is known for sudden shows of strength such as sideways running, dragging objects, or sudden rushing.

An anthropology expert at San Diego State University pointed out that what "Denny" did might be a psychological response to the loss of his brother "Maka" who recently died of a heart attack, explaining that male gorillas often engage in what is called "charging displays" to express anger or stress, according to the "New York Post".
