The company revealed the first mass-produced active liquid cooling system that combines advanced water cooling and superior air cooling solutions.
This new technology is not just a passive "Vapor Chamber," but an active liquid cooling system that closely resembles those used in gaming PCs and high-performance artificial intelligence servers, according to a report published by "gsmarena".
The system operates on the principle of circulating the coolant through a pump over the hotspots in the phone, then directing the heat to a fan and radiator to expel it from the device.
Micro-sized piezoelectric pump
"Red Magic" faced the challenge of integrating this robust cooling system within the slim structure of a phone.
The solution was in developing a precise piezoelectric ceramic pump, which is the heart of the system.
The pump required thousands of design attempts to balance liquid circulation efficiency and to ensure its suitability for the small size of the phone.
The company utilized micron-level laser cutting technology to carve internal channels that carry the liquid, with channel membranes designed to ensure smooth and low-resistance flow.
The coolant used is anti-freeze (based on fluorinated liquid), featuring excellent electrical insulation properties and superior heat transfer, the same type used in artificial intelligence servers, and it can operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C.
Additionally, the focus was on durability, where the company applied a very low temperature bonding process and new puncture-resistant membranes to ensure the phone could withstand tens of thousands of drop tests.
Red Magic 11 Pro: Unprecedented gaming power
This revolutionary water cooling system will be introduced for the first time in the upcoming Red Magic 11 Pro series, which will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
This technology, combined with the dual-path cooling system, unleashes maximum processor power to ensure sustainable high-performance gaming experience.
The company boasted about the 11 Pro phones' ability to run the "Wuthering Waves" game at 90 frames per second (fps) for up to 120 minutes on ultra graphics settings, confirming its stability and exceptional performance.
The device also supports over 200 popular games optimized to run at 2K resolution and a 144 Hz frame rate.
Water-resistant IPX8 Turbo Fan 4.0
The new features also include the Turbo Fan 4.0 system, a trademark of the company, combining three primary air cooling approaches.
The active fan speed inside reaches 24,000 revolutions per minute (rpm), and it is integrated with a large air-flow channel and a dual-path heat dissipation system that covers the CPU and includes a 4D Vapor Chamber heat exchanger.
Red Magic engineers have made the Turbo Fan 4.0 system the first active cooling system in a smartphone to achieve an IPX8 rating for water immersion resistance.

"Red Magic" phones are the official choice for six of China's top esports leagues, including the CrossFire Mobile Pro League and League of Legends Mobile Super League.
