King Participates in Coordination Meeting on Gaza with Leaders at Sharm ElSheikh

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Monday, participated in a coordination meeting with leaders of several countries to discuss the next steps as part of an agreement to end the war in Gaza, on the sidelines of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt.

The meeting was convened at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, and included Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Saudi Foreign Minister His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The meeting discussed the measures that need to be taken within the framework of an international mandate to implement security requirements in the Gaza Strip and ensure the flow of relief aid, in addition to managing the sector in the upcoming phase.

The meeting also addressed the situation in the West Bank, and the need to stop unilateral actions against the Palestinians.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi, and the Director of His Majesty the King's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh.
