Khaberni - Ajloun Municipality removed about 20 infringements on the roads and sidewalks in the town of Anjara, posing "a danger to road users and causing traffic congestion," according to Mahmoud Bani Fawaz, spokesperson for the Greater Ajloun Municipality.
On Monday, Bani Fawaz stated that the infringements that were removed in the town of Anjara in the areas of Ras Al-Ain and the Western Triangle obstructed traffic flow, caused traffic jams and various accidents, and were a source of annoyance to the citizens.
Bani Fawaz added that the municipality, before removing the infringements, warned the offenders and gave them enough time to remove the infringements and rectify the situation, then the municipality proceeded with their removal, noting that the municipality provided, after the removal, a safe passage for the users of those roads.
He explained that the municipality is planning to rent a space and conduct a study to establish a traditional market to which all the stalls will be relocated, pointing out that the market will be fully equipped and in accordance with public safety standards.
Bani Fawaz mentioned that the municipality includes five areas, which are: Ajloun area, Anjara, Ain Janna, Al-Rawabi, which includes 6 residential complexes, and Al-Safa area, which includes 8 villages and residential complexes.
