Khaberni - Jordan remains, on Friday, under the influence of the low-pressure system, with cold, partly cloudy weather, and rain falling intermittently in the north and center of the kingdom, which may be heavy at times in the northern areas accompanied by thunder and hail, and light rain showers are observed in limited parts of the eastern and southwestern regions. As afternoon approaches, precipitation chances generally decrease, and the winds are moderate west, occasionally strong.
The Meteorological Department warns of the danger of flash floods in parts of the northern regions, the danger of high wind speeds in some areas, the decreased horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds touching the surface in high mountainous areas and parts of the plains, the possibility of decreased visibility due to dust in desert areas, the danger of thunderstorms and hail, and the risk of slipping on roads experiencing rainfall.
On Saturday, the weather remains cold and partly cloudy with intermittent rainfall in most regions of the kingdom including the city of Aqaba and the Dead Sea area, expecting sometimes heavy showers especially in the north, center, and parts of the southwestern regions accompanied by thunder and hail, and fog formation is expected in many areas especially in the mountainous elevations and parts of the desert and plains, with southwest to west winds active in speed.
On Sunday, temperatures slightly decrease, and the weather continues to be cold and partly cloudy in most areas, with intermittent rain in the north, center, and limited parts of the eastern regions. Early morning showers in the city of Aqaba might be heavy at times accompanied by thunder and hail, and the winds will be moderate west, occasionally strong.
On Monday, temperatures slightly rise, with the weather remaining cold and partly cloudy, particularly in the north and center of the kingdom. There is a possibility of light showers in parts of the northern, central, and southern regions, and the winds will be moderate southwest.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in East Amman today range between 16 - 8 degrees Celsius, in West Amman 14 - 6, in the northern highlands 13 - 6, in the Sharah highlands 12 - 5, in the desert regions 18 - 9, in the plains regions 17 - 8, in the northern Jordan Valley 25 - 10, in the southern Jordan Valley 26 - 15, at the Dead Sea 24 - 12, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 25 - 13 degrees Celsius.
