Khaberni - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov refuted the authenticity of the news and rumors that were recently circulated regarding an incident involving an attempt to poison former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Moscow.
Lavrov stated in press statements to representatives of the Arab media in response to questions about the alleged poisoning incident: "It is not true.. Bashar al-Assad is in Moscow with his family for humanitarian reasons and the talk about attempts to poison him are just rumors."
Many Arab media outlets and local Syrian websites had reported that the ousted Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, was recently hospitalized in Moscow after being poisoned, speculating that it might have been an assassination attempt.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that there have been allegations of poison or assassination attempts against Assad in Moscow.
