AlKilani About 1500 pharmacists had their membership cancelled for failing to pay dues

Khaberni - The head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Zaid Ruhi Al-Kilani, stated that any pharmacist who fails to pay their dues for a period of 6 months will be warned, then their membership will be cancelled, and they are given a year to return. If they do not return within a year, their membership is permanently cancelled. He confirmed that this is the law of the syndicate, and no fines not stipulated in the law can be imposed, pointing out that all procedures are based on legal articles.

Al-Kilani added via the radio station Hala, that the syndicate is working on finding a legal solution in the decision to reinstate the cancelled pharmacists, noting the existence of an objection department at the syndicate's fund followed by the general assembly.

Al-Kilani pointed out that the number of pharmacists whose memberships were cancelled due to non-payment is about 1500 from a total of 35,000 registered pharmacists.

He explained that the amount due for the retirement fund is 180 dinars annually, pointing out that pharmacists whose memberships are cancelled lose the retirement funds they paid, but they can return to subscribe again, although this is difficult for many pharmacists.

Al-Kilani confirmed that a special committee has been formed to study the retirement fund and reevaluate it.
