Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, in cooperation with relevant authorities, detected violations on water sources in Irbid and Ain Al-Basha / Abu Nusayr village. The violations involved withdrawing hundreds of cubic meters daily in an illegal manner to fill large tanks and supply illegal water tankers for a commercial and residential complex.
The ministry said in a statement on Monday that based on information available to the Internal Audit Directorate at the Ministry/Water Authority, a coordinated campaign was conducted in Irbid. Technical staff, accompanied by security forces, captured two tank violations with a capacity of 30 cubic meters each, including shelters for filling illegal tankers and two 2-inch electric pumps and hoses. The violations were disconnected, and the seized items related to the incident were prepared, with ongoing investigations to capture the violators and refer them to the competent judicial authorities.
It added that in the Ain Al-Basha / Abu Nusayr area, two lines each with a one-inch diameter were captured for illegally supplying a commercial and residential complex in Abu Nusayr village. The seized items have been prepared, and legal proceedings are underway.
