Khaberni - The Palestinian Deputy President Hussein Al-Sheikh met with the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair today, Sunday, October 12, 2025, to discuss the following day, and ways to make U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to cease the war and establish permanent peace in the region successful.
Al-Sheikh confirmed his readiness to work with President Trump, Mr. Blair, and the relevant partners to solidify the ceasefire, bring in aid, release hostages and prisoners, and move towards recovery and reconstruction.
Al-Sheikh also emphasized the importance of stopping the undermining of the Palestinian Authority, especially the return of the confiscated Palestinian funds, preventing the undermining of the two-state solution, as a precursor to comprehensive and permanent peace according to international legitimacy.
