Khaberni - French Foreign Minister Jean Noël Barro stated on Thursday that there is an agreement to achieve security in Gaza through a Palestinian police force that will be trained by other countries.

Barro clarified at the press conference that "There is an agreement to accomplish security in the Gaza Strip by a Palestinian police force trained by Canada, Egypt, and Jordan."

He mentioned that "This police force aims to maintain daily security in Gaza," emphasizing "the necessity for this police force to be supported by international forces to enhance stability."

He affirmed that "these forces should be given a specific mission," adding: "This will be discussed at the United Nations in New York to come to a decision to establish these international forces."

The French official added that his country would work in the coming weeks to strengthen missions in the Gaza Strip to consolidate security.

The French Foreign Minister said that the meeting held in Paris, attended by foreign ministers from five European and five Arab countries, aims to support American efforts to end the war in Gaza.

He stressed that "there is a shared will among all parties to make Trump's initiative to end the war in Gaza successful."

Regarding the day after for Gaza, he emphasized that "there needs to be a political horizon where all parties converge, as seen in Trump's peace initiative."

He confirmed that France would help make this plan successful by sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

At the beginning of the meeting, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the coming hours would be crucial in establishing peace in Gaza.

Macron added: "We are discussing in Paris the establishment of a temporary rule for the Gaza Strip with a Palestinian presence but without Hamas."

The French President confirmed that "the Paris meeting complements the American initiative, and President Donald Trump has outlined an ambitious path for the Middle East," adding: "We hope that the agreement leads to a ceasefire and the release of hostages."
