Khaberni - The First Settlement area in the new Egyptian capital, Cairo, witnessed a shocking incident after an uncalculated joke led to four cars being set ablaze in the street, prompting the intervention of security and civil defense forces to control the situation.
In detail, the emergency operations room received a report of a fire breaking out in a residential street within the First Settlement police district.
Fire trucks immediately moved to the site of the report, and the forces were able to control the fire and completely extinguish it, without recording any human injuries.
Initial investigations revealed that three young men, aged between 17 and 18, set fire under one of the cars using a "lighter" while they were playing, jokingly, which led to the spread of the flames due to the presence of fuel residues on the ground, quickly extending the fire to completely consume four cars before it was extinguished.
Surveillance cameras surrounding the site of the fire showed the presence of the three youths at the time of the incident, and security forces were able to identify them and arrest them, while investigations confirmed that what happened was not intentional, but was the result of reckless behavior that led to significant material damages.
The security forces began documenting the necessary report, and the suspects were referred to the public prosecutor's office, which took over the investigation of the incident.
A forensic team was also assigned to examine the site of the fire to accurately determine the cause of ignition and estimate the extent of the material losses, which included the complete destruction of four cars.
