Khaberni - A spokesperson for the occupation government said the Israeli military will control and retain about 53% of the Gaza Strip.
The spokesperson's statement came after the announcement of a formal agreement between Hamas and Israel regarding the Gaza agreement.
She confirmed that the final draft of the first phase of the plan was signed in Egypt this Thursday morning.
A delegation from Hamas and Israel met in Sharm el-Sheikh over three days for indirect talks to discuss the American plan proposed by Donald Trump, which includes 20 articles.
Spokesperson Shush Badresian added that according to the first phase of the agreement, which includes the exchange of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli hostages, after 24 hours, a 72-hour period for releasing the hostages will begin.
However, she said that the prisoner Marwan Barghouti, whom Hamas had been demanding among the list of prisoners, will not be among those released.
Badresian continued to say that there will be a ceasefire in Gaza within 24 hours of today's cabinet meeting.
She reported that the minor security cabinet will meet on Thursday to approve the first phase of the American plan, following the ceasefire agreement announcement.
