Khaberni - A serious health incident almost took the life of a Saudi influencer and her family, after she relied on advice provided by the "Chat GPT" app to combat the black mold that had invaded her home, turning a simple cleaning attempt into a severe health crisis that required medical and specialist intervention.

Inas Al-Hanty shared details of what happened on her social media accounts, with photos and videos documenting what occurred inside her home, explaining that the story began when she noticed mold on one of the walls and decided to clean it herself along with her daughter, after consulting "Chat GPT" for the best way to get rid of it.

She explained that the app advised her to use vinegar to disinfect the area then dry it with a hair dryer, without mentioning the risks of directly handling black mold or the necessity of wearing protective gear.
Inas Al-Hanty added, "We cleaned the mold without wearing gloves or masks, and not only that, but we also used the hair dryer to dry the place, which led to the spread of particles in the air and inhaling them."

She continued that the symptoms did not delay in appearing, as her daughter's temperature rose two days later, and she was transferred to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a bacterial inflammation caused by air pollution, and shortly after, she began exhibiting the same symptoms.

She mentioned that she began looking for the cause after the doctor hinted at a problem with her home's humidity, so she sought help from a friend specializing in air quality and humidity, who asked her to measure the humidity level in her home, only to discover that it was extremely high and that the air was contaminated with three times the permissible upper limit, making it a fertile environment for fungi and black mold.

Inas Al-Hanty stated that she used devices to extract the moisture and purify the air temporarily, until specialized companies could intervene.

The technical inspection indeed showed cracks in the house's roof insulation that caused water to leak into the walls, which led to the increase in humidity and the spread of mold.

The well-known influencer explained that solving the problem requires two specialized companies, the first to treat the cause of the moisture and redo the insulation, and the second to combat the black mold using special materials, noting that most companies involved in these types of issues are busy with contracts with hotels and residential complexes, making it difficult to get a quick appointment.

While recounting what happened, Al-Hanty expressed her dissatisfaction with the experience, warning her followers not to rely on artificial intelligence applications in such matters, saying, "I sought help from the disaster ('Chat GPT') and then the crisis occurred, never trust it at all."
