Khaberni - Washington is preparing for a possible announcement about Gaza, where the American administration is working on preparing a text of a speech that President Donald Trump is supposed to give to announce the reaching of an agreement that ends the ongoing war in the sector.
The Associated Press reported that the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, handed a memo to President Donald Trump during a meeting at the White House on Wednesday, asking Trump for his approval on a social media post related to the Middle East agreement.
The agency said the handwritten memo stated, "We need your approval on a social media post soon so you can announce the agreement first."
President Donald Trump revealed that a Middle East agreement was "imminently" close, indicating that it was "urgently needed."
In response to a question about what remained to be done regarding a Gaza agreement, Trump said on Wednesday evening, "Either accomplish it or sign it," adding that he would likely go to Egypt.
Trump earlier on Wednesday said he might head to the Middle East by the end of the current week, confirming that an agreement between Israel and Hamas on Gaza was "very imminent."
The U.S. President said, "Our latest negotiations, as you know, are with Hamas, and they seem to be going well. We will inform you, if so, we will probably leave on Sunday, and maybe Saturday."
The U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said that President Donald Trump might make a visit to the Middle East if an agreement that ends the war in Gaza is reached, according to Israeli media outlets.
Rubio clarified in statements to journalists on Wednesday evening that the decision would be up to Trump, but he suspected Trump's interest in making this visit "if his schedule allows it."
He noted that negotiations saw "good progress today" and that "things are moving in a positive direction," but he also pointed out that "there is still work to be done," adding: "We have been in similar situations before, and felt disappointed."
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi affirmed on Wednesday that the negotiations in Sharm el-Sheikh are currently underway to end the war on Gaza and are progressing positively, and that Egypt is making continuous efforts to end the war on Gaza.
The Egyptian president also sent a message to President Trump to continue his support to reach an agreement on Gaza, adding: I invite President Trump to attend the signing of the Gaza agreement in Egypt if it is reached.
A night session began just now as part of the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip, on Wednesday, in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh, on the third day of the talks seeking to finalize a deal according to the 20-point plan of the U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Cairo News.
"Cairo News" reported that the atmosphere in the meetings regarding the agreement is "positive".
It mentioned that the Hamas delegation "showed great flexibility during the ongoing talks," as the movement's delegation presented the necessary positivity and responsibility to achieve the required progress and complete the agreement.
