Khaberni - Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Al-Asaad, welcomed the positive step which reflects the Lebanese state's commitment to supporting the rights of Palestinian refugees and improving their living conditions, where the Lebanese authorities allowed the entry of electrical appliances and household furniture into the Palestinian camps located in the Tyre area (Rashidieh, Al-Buss, and Bourj Al-Shamali), after a period of restrictions imposed on this kind of supplies.

This step follows agreements reached by President Mahmoud Abbas with his Lebanese counterpart, Joseph Aoun during his visit to Beirut in May and through intensive and thorough meetings held by the President's representative and special envoy Yasser Abbas, alongside Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammed Al-Asaad, with various segments of the Lebanese state, from the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, leaders of the security services, army command, and concerned Lebanese authorities, centered around addressing the restrictions imposed on the introduction of basic materials into the camps.

This initiative was widely welcomed by the Palestinian side, as it represents a practical translation of the cooperation between the Lebanese and Palestinian sides and carries a direct impact on improving the living conditions for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, preserving their dignity, and promoting stability within the camps until their return to their homeland, Palestine.
