Khaberni - Egyptian actor Mohamed Saad challenged himself to participate in the film "The Road to Eilat," which was shown 31 years ago.
Egyptian director Inaam Mohamed Ali revealed what happened behind the scenes during that period, in a telephone interview she conducted with the Egyptian channel "Sada El Balad 2".
In the interview, she confirmed that while preparing for the film, she received a call from the brigade commander responsible for training the crew, telling her that all the heroes of the film were proficient swimmers except for actor Mohamed Saad, who had not yet mastered it, which conflicted with the role that required swimming in some scenes.
This situation led her to confront Mohamed Saad and inform him that he would not be able to participate in the film unless he mastered swimming, noting that his reaction was very emotional. He could not hold back his tears, cried, and asked her to give him one last week to learn swimming before being excluded from the film.
The director agreed to Mohamed Saad's request and informed the training officer to give the actor a week to master swimming, or she would be forced to replace him.
After a week, Inaam Mohamed Ali received a call from the training officer informing her that Mohamed Saad had mastered swimming and was at the level of the other participants in the film. She confirmed that this made her very happy, as she had "relieved a great burden" represented in replacing the artist.
She concluded by affirming that this adventure became one of the most emotional moments in the behind-the-scenes of filming "The Road to Eilat".
