Jordan Participates in the Preparatory Meeting for the First ArabRussian Summit in Moscow

Khaberni - On Tuesday, Jordan participated through the permanent delegation of the Kingdom to the Arab League in a meeting of the senior Arab-Russian Officials Committee as part of the preparations for the first Arab-Russian Summit, scheduled to be held in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Wednesday, October 15.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, at the level of permanent delegates of the Arab member states to discuss the draft declaration of the Arab-Russian Summit and the joint action plan.

The meeting was chaired by the ambassador and permanent delegate of Iraq to the Arab League, Qahtan Taha Khalaf (president of the current session of the League Council at the summit level), and Ambassador Alexander Kinshchak, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Assistant Secretary-General, Head of the International Political Affairs Sector of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, and Ambassador Khaled bin Mohammed Manzlawi.

The attendants discussed the arrangements for the first Arab-Russian Summit and the seventh session of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum at the ministerial level, as well as agreeing on the final drafts of the documents to be issued, which are; the final statement and the action plan for implementing the principles and objectives of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum for the period 2026-2028.

On Monday, October 13, prior to the summit, a meeting of the seventh session of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum at the level of foreign ministers will be held, in preparation for adopting the final documents during the summit.
