Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi, today, Friday, stressed the necessity of concerted regional and international efforts to solidify the ceasefire in Lebanon, and support the Lebanese government in imposing its sovereignty over all Lebanese territories and monopolizing armament in the hands of the state.
Al-Safadi appreciated the efforts of US President Donald Trump in reaching this agreement.
In meetings he held with several counterparts and officials participating in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Al-Safadi emphasized the need for the international community to take firm and effective stances to protect security and stability in the region from Israeli escalatory policies against Lebanon and Syria and in the occupied West Bank, where Israel continues to expand settlements and annex Palestinian land, attempting to alter the historic and legal status of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities in a serious undermining of the chances to achieve a just peace and a blatant violation of international law.

In his meetings, Al-Safadi highlighted the importance of targeted efforts leading to a sustainable solution that addresses all causes of tension in the region historically, adherence to international law, respect for the sovereignty of states, and freedom of navigation.
Al-Safadi, who also discussed with his counterparts ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, affirmed that Jordan will continue working towards achieving security and stability in the region and achieving a just peace that fulfills the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and an independent state with sovereignty over its national territory according to a two-state solution.
Al-Safadi reiterated the kingdom's absolute solidarity with the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and Jordan's support for all measures taken by the brethren to protect their security, stability, and the welfare of their citizens.
On the sidelines of the forum, Al-Safadi met with the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Republic of Yemen Dr. Shaia Mohsen Al-Zindani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Ahmed Attaf, the Foreign Minister of Lithuania Kestutis Pudrious, the Foreign Minister of the State of Bolivia Fernando Aramayo, and the Special American Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barik.
