Death of Former Air Force Commander Mohammad AlQudah

Khaberni - The Al-Qudah clan in the Kingdom and abroad mourn the former Royal Air Force Commander Major General Pilot Fighter Mohammad Ali Falah Al-Qudah (Abu Rami), who passed away to the mercy of God Almighty on Sunday.

The clan offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and his relatives, asking Allah Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy, admit him into His vast gardens, and grant patience and consolation to his family and loved ones.

 

Biography

The deceased was born in the town of Ain Janna in the province of Ajloun in 1945, and finished his high school education before joining the Royal Air Force in 1964 as an aviation officer cadet, where he was sent to the United Kingdom to study aviation specialization for two years, and graduated as a Lieutenant Fighter Pilot in mid-1966.

The deceased advanced in leadership positions within the Royal Air Force, from flight commander, squadron commander, wing commander, to air base commander.

After the June 1967 War, he participated in the Jordanian air force that served in the Iraqi Air Force at Habbaniyah base until the end of 1968, then returned to Jordan, before moving to the Dimas air base in Syria with the Jordanian squadron until the end of 1969.

 

Prominent Positions and Roles:

During his military career, the deceased held several prestigious positions, the most notable of which are:

•    Commander of the Martyr Mowaffaq Al-Salti Air Base (1981–1983)

•    Commander of King Hussein Air College (1983)

•    Commander of Prince Hassan Air Base (1984–1986)

•    Director of Air Operations (1986–1988)

•    Defense Attaché at the Jordanian Embassy in Paris until 1990

•    Assistant Chief of Air Staff in 1992

•    Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Operations, Training, and Air Defense in 1993

•    In 1994, he was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Royal Air Force (Air Force Commander)

•    After retiring from military service, he was appointed as Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Sultanate of Oman in 1995, and continued in his position until 1997.

•    He also represented the Jordanian Armed Forces in talks on arms reduction and regional security between 1991 and 1993, and continued his national activity after retirement through contributions to the public affairs in Ajloun province, where in 2021 he was tasked to represent the province in official meetings to discuss issues of the region's residents with His Majesty King Abdullah II and a number of senior officials.

The deceased participated in many advanced military courses both in Jordan and abroad, including:

•    Command and Staff Course in the United States

•    Course at the National Air Command and Staff College in China

•    Defense Resource Management Course in America

•    War College Course in America

•    Course in National Security Management in America

•    Diploma in Public Administration from Troy University, USA

•    Master in Administrative and Military Sciences

 

Medals and Badges

Major General Al-Qudah received numerous high-ranking medals in recognition of his service and achievements, the most prominent of which are: Independence Medal, Star Medal, Renaissance Medal, Battle of Al-Karamah Medal, Service Medal (67–71), Efficiency and Leadership Medal, Administrative and Technical Efficiency Medal, Training Efficiency Medal, Concord and Agreement Medal, and the Pakistani Merit Medal.

The deceased left behind a proud national and family legacy, and his children are Rami, Dr. Tariq, and his daughters Reem, Ruba, and Mai.

May Allah have mercy on Major General Fighter Pilot Mohammad Ali Falah Al-Qudah (Abu Rami), admit him into His vast gardens, and reward him well for his loyalty and dedication to his nation and its Hashemite leadership.
