Khaberni - Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Samirat, said on Thursday that electronic payment transactions through the "Sanad" application exceed 150,000 transactions monthly, noting at the same time that they previously reached up to 3,000 transactions monthly.
He added in his talk on Al-Mamlaka channel that the increasing number of users of the application indicates its success.
He explained that there are comprehensive updates on the application, as it is updated every two weeks, showing that there is a complete set of services being incorporated through "Sanad" to enhance the user experience.
He emphasized that the more the services are facilitated, the more justice, transparency, and speed are ensured in delivering them.
Regarding the existence of gaps in the application, Samirat noted that there are improvements, not gaps, and among these improvements is the introduction of the electronic payment service within the application after it was external, which hindered its spread.
Regarding the most used services, Samirat mentioned that they are biometric certificates, such as birth and death certificates, issuing family books, renewing passports, and others.
He added in his talk that within 3 months, 500,000 digital identities were activated, which equals approximately 25% of what was accomplished over the past five years.
