Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality has implemented a walkway on Sixtieth Street in the Zahran area, as part of its initiatives to promote sports culture in local communities, and to encourage enthusiasts of walking and cycling to practice their activities in a safe environment.
The walkway, which is 500 meters long, was designed according to the global model in terms of colors and specifications based on some global experiences.
The walkway includes two separate paths, the first lane designated for pedestrians is 2.5 meters wide and is painted maroon.
The second lane is designated for bicycles, is 3.5 meters wide, and is distinguished by its blue color, and a bicycle symbol is drawn every 50 meters on the bicycle lane, with arrows indicating the direction of the bikes, in addition to numbering the lane from 100 meters to 500 meters.
The municipality has also painted the sides of the walkway white, with a clear divider between the pedestrian path and the bicycle path.
Special pedestrian crossings have also been provided on both sides to enable passers-by to easily reach the nearby housing
