Pioneering Patent Registration for the Middle East University in the Field of Ecommerce

Khaberni - A team of faculty members in the Business College at Middle East University, namely: Dr. Laith Khreis, Dr. Ahmed Shjrawi, and Dr. Anas Bani Atta, managed to register a patent in the United Kingdom titled "Smart Control Panel for E-commerce," where the team obtained the official registration and publishing certificate that documents this distinctive research success.

This invention reflects the university's direction towards supporting applied scientific research and enhancing its direct connection with the needs of the global digital job market. It is based on innovating an advanced control panel for e-commerce capable of gathering data from multiple sources within the digital commercial system and analyzing it in real-time, including financial transactions through electronic payment gateways, visitor traffic on sites, and customer interactions, as well as updates related to supply chains.

The achievement lies in designing an integrated system that relies on Application Programming Interfaces (API) and Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), whereby data passes through Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to be organized and stored in specialized data warehouses or lakes, then presented on advanced analysis systems that employ artificial intelligence technologies and machine learning algorithms, supported by predictive analytics engines and natural language processing tools, in order to extract precise patterns and monitor future trends that contribute to supporting business decisions and directing growth strategies.

This innovation confirms that e-commerce has become a comprehensive system requiring smart tools for proactive monitoring and analysis, making this new invention a pivotal addition that enhances the efficiency of digital institutions and boosts their competitive ability on both regional and international levels.

This success also reinforces the leading role of Middle East University in enriching the Arabic scientific research environment and producing practical application knowledge that has a direct impact on the digital economy sector.
