Khaberni - An Australian study revealed that an additional quarter hour of sleep with simple improvements in exercise and diet could reduce the risk of early death by up to 10%.

A recent Australian study has shown that just adding 15 minutes of sleep at night could make a significant difference in life expectancy, especially if coincided with simple improvements in physical activity and diet quality, according to the "Daily Mail" newspaper.

The study, conducted by a team from the University of Sydney led by Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis, was based on tracking data from more than 60,000 people over eight years. The results indicated that increasing sleep by a quarter of an hour daily, with 1.6 additional minutes of exercise and half a serving of extra vegetables, could reduce the risk of death by 10%.

For those seeking greater results, the study clarified that increasing sleep by 75 minutes weekly, and practicing an extra 12.5 minutes of moderate to intense exercise, and improving the quality of food by 25 points, could reduce the risk of death by half.

The researchers emphasized that small and simultaneous changes in sleep, movement, and nutrition have a strong synergistic effect, making them practical steps that can be implemented in daily life without significant cost or effort.
