Khaberni - The specialized inspection and control teams at the Food and Drug Administration, during the last month, conducted a total of 5,343 field rounds on food establishments in different governorates, as part of a comprehensive regulatory plan to ensure food safety and quality.
The teams of the Institute carried out 5,004 rounds through its branches spread in various regions, distributed among periodic control efforts, investigation, follow-up, licensing, handling complaints from citizens, sampling, and executing intensive seasonal campaigns, according to the institution's data.
The institute added that 339 rounds were carried out on food production factories and companies importing and exporting food materials for periodic inspection and sampling purposes. The rounds resulted in the implementation of a series of effective regulatory measures in accordance with the approved regulations and instructions.
The General Director of the institution, Rana Obaidat, affirmed the continuous efforts of the institution in enhancing the control and inspection operations on food establishments and expanding the implementation of regulatory campaigns in the coming phase, indicating that the institution is in the process of supporting its regulatory staff through the appointment of additional inspectors and the development of quality control mechanisms in cooperation with partner entities.
