Erdoğan Demands Trump to Compel Israel to Stop Attacks and Discusses Defense Cooperation

Khaberni - The Turkish Presidency stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan informed the American President Donald Trump, in a phone call on Friday, that Turkey welcomes efforts to achieve peace in the region, but he emphasized the necessity for Israel to stop its attacks to ensure the success of these efforts.

The Presidency added that Erdoğan told Trump in the call, which came at the request of the United States, that Turkey will continue to support peace initiatives in the region and contribute to Trump's vision for global peace.

The Presidency noted that the leaders discussed bilateral relations, mentioning that Erdoğan emphasized the importance of taking steps to enhance their cooperation, particularly in the field of defense industries.
