Khaberni - The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security in the Emirates issued a decision, modifying the controls and conditions of a number of existing visas. The amendments included in the decision modify the issuance controls for entry visas for visiting a friend or relative.
The Authority explained that if the foreigner coming to the country is a first-degree relative of a foreign resident in the country, the monthly income of the guarantor/host must not be less than 4,000 dirhams.
However, if the foreigner coming to the country is a second or third-degree relative of a foreign resident in the country, the monthly income of the guarantor/host must not be less than 8,000 dirhams.
In the case of the foreigner coming to the country being a friend of a foreign resident in the country, it is required that the monthly income of the guarantor/host must not be less than 15,000 dirhams.
The decision in Annex (A) defines the schedule of periods and extension authorities for entry visas and the permitted duration of stay upon issuing the visa, including 6 types of periods and authorities, aimed at governing procedures and enhancing institutional identity, transparency, integrity, and enabling all stakeholders to achieve the objectives they sought from obtaining the visa while considering the type of visa and its importance to the stakeholders and the country alike.
