Khaberni - The State of Qatar welcomed the signing by US President Donald Trump on Wednesday of an executive order asserting that any armed attack on Qatar's territory, sovereignty, or vital infrastructure is considered a threat to peace and security in the United States.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered the executive order a manifestation of the solid and historic relationship between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, based on cooperation and partnership in mediation, conflict resolution, and global peace and security issues.
It also considers it an important step towards strengthening the close defense relations between the two countries.
The Ministry also confirmed Qatar's continued work with the United States and its international partners as a reliable international mediator to face common challenges, promote the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and achieve sustainable peace in the region.
