Egypt  A masked man poisons 11 stray dogs

Khaberni - The Giza governorate in Egypt issued an urgent decision on the need for immediate handling of the incident of the death of large numbers of stray dogs in the area of the Pyramids Gardens; where 11 dead dogs were found in an incident that caused widespread anger, prompting the governorate to move to ascertain the circumstances of the incident, and to perform a visual inspection on the dead dogs.

The number of dead dogs exceeded 150 during the month

In this context, Egyptian lawyer Samah Hassan revealed numbers far exceeding the officially announced figure, confirming that the numbers are not limited to 11 dogs, but this number in the Pyramids Gardens pertains to the cases that were examined by the prosecution after the report was filed, explaining: "The numbers are much more than that, this figure pertains to the cases that the prosecution went down to inspect when we filed the report and before that, there were many cases over 15 days that exceeded 150 cases and were buried by the residents and this is what we confirmed in the report"

She mentioned that she filed an official report on behalf of the Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals number 15232 Administrative Al-Haram, relying on the testimonies of the affected residents who lost their own dogs, although they were vaccinated and sterilized, and the lawyer emphasized that the report recorded that the number of dead dogs exceeded 150 dogs during the last month, and that the 11 dogs that were found were only in one night, which was the night when the residents sought help to file the report.
