Khaberni - The Cabinet has decided in its session held today, Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, to approve the rationale for the bill on the ratification of the extradition agreement between the government of the Kingdom and the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the year 2025, in preparation for sending it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to complete the necessary procedures for its issuance as per the regulations.
This bill completes the legislative procedures to implement the extradition agreement between the two countries, which was signed at the end of last month, during the visit made by His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in combating crime and ensuring the rule of law and achieving justice, based on mutual respect for the sovereignty of each, and in accordance with the constitutional principles of each country, while considering human rights principles.
The Cabinet also decided to approve a joint statement to establish diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and each of the Republic of Togo and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
This decision comes in light of the desire of both countries to establish diplomatic relations with the Kingdom, within the framework of enhancing cooperative relations and exchanges in various fields.
