The Houthis Announce Targeting a Ship Linked to Israel in the Gulf of Aden

Khaberni - The Houthis announced, in the early hours of Wednesday, the execution of a naval operation in the Gulf of Aden with a missile targeting a ship, which resulted in its damage and the outbreak of fires within it. They clarified that the operation comes in support of the Gaza Strip, and as confirmation of the ongoing navigation ban on ships linked to Israel.

The military spokesperson for the Houthis, Yahya Sarea, stated in a declaration that the group's forces conducted a naval operation targeting the ship MINERVAGRACHT in the Gulf of Aden with a cruise missile, saying it was "directly hit and caught fire, and is now at risk of sinking".

Sarea explained that the operation came "in vengeance for the injustice against the Palestinian people and their dear mujahideen, and in response to the crimes of genocide and starvation," and to affirm "the continuing ban on the maritime movement of the Israeli enemy in the Red and Arabian seas."

According to the statement, the strike was executed "for violating the company owning the ship's decision to ban entry into the occupied Palestinian ports". Sarea emphasized that "our military operations will continue and will not stop until the aggression is halted and the blockade is lifted from the Gaza Strip."

He indicated "the continuation of imposing a navigation ban on the Israeli enemy in the Red and Arabian seas, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden". He renewed the warning to "all companies and ships of the dangers of violating the previously announced ban".
