Khaberni - The Chairman of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, Dr. Mohannad Hegazi, confirmed that Jordan ranks fourth in the Arab world and 58th globally in integrity indicators, noting that this ranking reflects the significant progress the Kingdom has made on both the local and international levels in the areas of transparency, integrity, and anti-corruption.

This was stated during a visit by the National Guidance and Media Parliamentary Committee, today, Tuesday, to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, to learn about its efforts in enhancing the integrity and administrative and financial reform system.

Hegazi pointed out that the commission continues to develop its initiatives and enhance interaction with citizens, focusing on continuous assessment and improvement, and explained that the supervisory work forms a fundamental pillar to ensure the national interest, and that combating corruption is a communal responsibility that requires concerted efforts.

He highlighted the training programs implemented by the commission for public sector employees, especially in the fields of procurement and real estate, to ensure compliance with the highest standards of auditing and review.

In turn, the chairman of the parliamentary committee, MP Firas Al-Qablan, emphasized that the commission plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the values of national integrity and enhancing citizens' trust in institutions, stressing the importance of continued cooperation and coordination with the House of Representatives to develop legislation regulating the fight against corruption within the framework of comprehensive national reform.

A number of deputies, including Mohamed Al-Subaie, Mohamed Al-Raoud, Nour Abu Ghoush, and Ahmad Al-Raqb, expressed their full support for the commission's efforts, affirming their readiness to enhance legislative and supervisory cooperation with it, in a manner that contributes to protecting the public interest and establishing the principles of transparency and accountability.

On his part, the Vice-Chairman of the commission, Sami Al-Salaita, and the Secretary-General, Amjad Narmouq, reviewed the most significant efforts exerted in the areas of prevention, awareness, and enhancing partnership with national institutions.

The Director of Institutional Development at the commission, Dr. Asem al-Judou', presented an overview concerning the commission's working standards, which are based on justice, equality, rule of law, good governance, involving youth, leveraging technology, enhancing regional and international cooperation, and continuous upgrading of systems and procedures.
