Khaberni - A legal document published on Monday showed that YouTube agreed to pay $22 million to settle a lawsuit filed against it by former U.S. President Donald Trump, after the Google-owned site suspended his account following an attack by a group of his supporters on the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
Thus, the online video sharing site becomes the latest platform to reach an agreement with Trump to settle a legal dispute that started in July 2021, after companies Meta and X (formerly Twitter) reached similar agreements.
