Khaberni - Since it was founded in 1986 by the family's grandmother, the first beekeeper in the southern region of Karak, Al-Shamaein apiaries have been a landmark in the journey of beekeeping and natural honey production in Jordan. After the father continued managing until 2004, the institution witnessed an unprecedented qualitative leap with the joining of Engineer Hammam Mukhled Al-Shamaein in 2014, who combined his engineering expertise and deep passion for bees to enhance the quality of production and market the honey locally and globally.

This qualitative leap translated into a series of achievements, where Engineer Hammam won more than 17 international awards, including gold medals and honorary shields in competitions in Moscow, Paris, London, Jeddah, and Jordan, becoming the first engineer in the world to achieve this number of awards in a short period of time. Alongside this, Al-Shamaein Apiaries have led the Arab institutions as the first entity to win such large number of international awards, thus solidifying Jordan’s name on the global leadership map in the field of honey.

In 2023, the institution launched a pioneering project to train young beekeepers, aiming to pass the expertise to the next generations. The participating children succeeded in scoring early global achievements, by obtaining 3 top places in international competitions, confirming the project’s continuity of success across generations.

The latest achievement of this project was winning the third place globally in the "Young Beekeeper" competition held in the Russian capital Moscow, where the young beekeepers: Harith Mukhled Al-Shamaein, Ibrahim Ahmad Al-Daour, and Maryam Noor Al-Daour, participated in competitions which received wide acclaim from international judges for performance, knowledge, and scientific precision.

Engineer Hammam Al-Shamaein said in his talk to Russian media outlets that this win is not just a temporary achievement, but "a living testament that Jordan, despite its modest resources, is great with the determination of its people, magnificent in their ambitions". He expressed his gratitude to the organizing bodies and to the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture for providing a supportive environment for nurturing emerging talents and creating suitable conditions for creativity and competition.

It is noteworthy that the Jordanian team has won up to today 14 global awards, including three rare gold medals achieved in Russia last March, further enhancing Jordan's position as a leading country in this field.

At the end of this bright journey, Al-Shamaein Apiaries embody a clear message to the world:
"Authenticity is not manufactured, but inherited, preserved, and flourishes with effort and achievement. In Jordan, young energies, when well-directed, soar without a ceiling for ambition."
