Khaberni - The General Manager of the National Aid Fund, Khetam Shenikat, confirmed that launching the emergency aid service electronically aims to facilitate poor and needy families, reducing financial and procedural burdens, in alignment with the updated national strategy for social protection and the public sector renewal roadmap.
Shenikat explained, in an exclusive statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) today, Monday, that the emergency aids are provided only once due to the exceptional circumstances the family is going through, and include situations such as: the death of the head of the family or one of its members, imprisonment of the head of the family, involuntary loss of income due to accidents or illness, house fire, tribal displacement, and the academic excellence of beneficiaries' children who achieve a grade of 90 or higher.
She added that the service is available through the fund's electronic platform, noting that the fund's offices spread across all areas of the kingdom will remain open to assist families unable to interact with technology and fill out applications electronically.
