Khaberni - Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported today, Monday, that among the central issues to be discussed tonight between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their meeting at the White House is Qatar's role in the reconstruction and management of the Gaza Strip.

Yedioth Ahronoth claimed that "Qatar seeks to be the dominant force in the sector, and Israel—after deteriorating relations with Qatar—is striving to minimize its influence in the sector as much as possible in the next phase," a compromise was reached on this matter yesterday, according to the Palestinian Ma'an News Agency.

The newspaper clarified that among the other issues are the freedom of the Israeli military to act in case Hamas strengthens its power, rebuilds itself, and stocks up weapons, noting that Israel has requested in its communications with the American administration that it be clearly stated that the military enjoys the freedom to act to eliminate threats from the sector.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer met last night with special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and discussed the "21-point plan" to end the war in Gaza and return the detainees.

According to Channel 12 Israel, the meeting discussed most of the complex issues facing Israel. This comes as a preparation for the meeting between Netanyahu and Trump, which will begin today at six o'clock in the evening Israel time.

Before the Prime Minister and Minister Dermer accepted the new formulations proposed by Witkoff and Kushner.
