Suspension of Flights at Ben Gurion Airport Due to a Missile from Yemen

Khaberni - Israeli media reported the suspension of flights at "Ben Gurion" airport, following the Israeli occupation army's announcement early Monday morning of intercepting a missile launched from Yemen.

The occupation army stated in a release, "Air defense systems detected a missile launch from Yemen, which was successfully intercepted," indicating that the missile caused the activation of alarm sirens "in multiple areas in Israel".

Israeli media reported a temporary stop in take-off and landing operations at Ben Gurion Airport, which is typically announced "as a precautionary measure, before being resumed later after assessing the security situation".

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or material damage, while the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) has not issued any immediate comment regarding the operation, which they have regularly carried out such attacks.

Continuous attacks
The Houthis continue to target Israel with missiles and drones, in addition to attacking associated or Israel-bound ships, asserting that these attacks support the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to genocide by Israel since October 7, 2023.

On the other hand, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper described the latest attacks on Yemen as "the most violent to date", noting that "more than 65 bombs were dropped on Houthi targets, without achieving the intended goal".

The Israeli army conducted air raids on Yemen's capital, Sana'a, last Thursday evening, targeting residential areas and a power station, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.

This attack followed the Houthis' declaration of carrying out an attack with two drones on the city of Eilat, which resulted in 50 people being injured, including 3 in a critical condition, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
