Death of a Turkish Anchorwoman Under Mysterious Circumstances

Khaberni -The Turkish authorities found the body of the anchorwoman, Esin Gök, a few hours ago, after losing contact with her for 36 hours in Istanbul, causing her friends to worry and ask for help from security authorities after Gök refrained from responding to calls, according to the Turkish site "Hurriyet".

The late anchorwoman's friends, who lived in the Bakirkoy area of Istanbul, attempted to enter her apartment but were prevented by the building's security guard, following which they sought the help of the police and were indeed able to enter her apartment and found her lifeless body, a scene that shocked millions of her followers, as reported by Turkish media.

Although the authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the circumstances of the young anchorwoman's death, media speculated that she might have committed suicide by hanging inside her apartment. A statement from the police regarding Gök's death is scheduled to be issued after the initial investigations are completed.

The young anchorwoman gained widespread fame since 2019 after she started commenting on horse races and presenting a program that highlights such competitions, being the first anchorwoman to work in this field in Turkey.

Who is Gök?
A media professional born in Izmir province, she carried the title of the first female horse race commentator in Turkey. Gök graduated from Suleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Communications, Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, and gained experience in local radio and television channels during her university years, obtaining a strong start in her professional career. After working as a reporter and program host for channels such as Ege TV and TRT, the young commentator later began her professional career as a commentator on Tay TV, a network that broadcasts horse races.
