Khaberni -The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees "UNRWA" estimated that Israel, the occupying power, has been killing an equivalent of "a full classroom of children" daily since October 7, 2023, with the number of students per class ranging between 35 and 45 children.
In a statement, Sam Rose, the UNRWA Affairs Director in Gaza, mentioned that "every day since the beginning of the war in Gaza, an average of a full classroom of children is killed".
Before the genocide transformed them into shelters for the displaced, UNRWA schools used to accommodate between 35 and 45 students per class, depending on the overcrowding situation in the schools.
