Khaberni -A few days ago, chance led me to read an article by Dr. Jawad Al-Anani titled "When will Israel Fall?" published on the website Al-Arabi Al-Jadid one month after the Al-Aqsa Flood.
The reason for recalling the content of the article is the contradiction I found between the historical analyses and arguments about the occupation and its doctrinal existence in it, and what Dr. Jawad stated two days ago to an Israeli channel overseen by Netanyahu in its editorial line. In his article, Al-Anani concluded the inevitability of Israel's disappearance, while his interview—filled with interpretations that distort reality—was loaded with calls for the neighbor's safety and a warm peace that shields him from the vicissitudes of politics and the need for questioning.
The minister, being detained and sitting in the confession chair, dismissed from his calculations while stuffing the viewer's mind with his personal desires, and imploring God that "the neighbor be in a safe state"; this entity sought to harm the neighbor’s interests, sovereignty, and guardianship. This comes after (Al-Jawad) skipped over a war of annihilation that spares no one.
Apart from reducing the factor of interest, which is always present in adopting such positions, Al-Anani in his article "When will Israel fall" dated November 2, 2023, mentioned that Israel is on its way to disappearing, and the question is not: "If, but when?” expecting the emergence of Arab and Palestinian youths bridging all gaps in weapons, technology, science, propaganda, and media. And nothing remains for Israel but one inevitable fate, whether sooner or later.
And the battle of "Al-Aqsa Flood" has given the Palestinian cause momentum and interest that lost all Israeli efforts to obscure its existence and significance. Regardless of the outcome of this battle in Gaza, which is not a war as Netanyahu and his clique claim, it has indeed driven many wedges placing the "Ben-Gurion" security doctrine in a critical dilemma, making it lose much of its elements and showing from historical evidence that Israel has reached its peak, and nothing is left for it but to retreat.
The article questioned whether the battle of "Al-Aqsa Flood" and its extensions proved that Israel is now rapidly approaching its end as an entity? The question might seem imaginary and an escape from reality given the brutality and barbarity and the clear intent for ethnic cleansing in Gaza, but I see otherwise... etc.
What is truly shocking is the size of the contradiction between the contents of the article and the terms of the interview to the extent of causing momentary schizophrenia for not understanding the reasons behind Dr. Jawad's talk to (Kan) Hebrew; this political haziness and excessive flipping of positions appeared as though Jawad in the 2023 version is different from his version in 2025.
Noteworthy in the television interview is that the host was confident in the direction of the interview for the benefit of his country, and what's more dangerous is that his guest, reconciled with himself and although trying to add objectivity to his talk, implicitly fattened Israel by describing it as a friendly state deserving of life and peace, a must to embrace it serving the interests of peoples.
It might be understandable Al-Anani’s position if he was a newcomer to the political environment and had not been in the Jordanian decision-making kitchen for long periods, but it is incomprehensible why Al-Anani, considered one of the smartest officials of the Jordanian state in the past period, unleashed his imagination, where he appeared as if he was speaking on behalf of the Israeli seeking emancipation from the fire of war, not on behalf of the Jordanian fearful for his country, and the Palestinian expelled from his homeland, offering advice lacking proper timing, grasp of reality, and dignity of nations.
Your Excellency the Minister, there are pressing questions that the public opinion awaits to be clarified so that the trust of Jordanians in their national policy makers does not erode.
