Although the song was released two years ago in 2023, it continues to reap successes and expand its audience, as it recorded more than 465 million views on "YouTube" and topped the listening charts on various other digital music platforms, according to local media reports.
Despite this success, the song has sparked wide controversy, as it caused a crisis between Lamjarred and the Indian stars Shreya Ghoshal and Jennifer Winget, who both participated in the project, as they refrained from promoting the music video or mentioning Saad Lamjarred's name on their official accounts.
Their decision was driven by pressure from their Indian audience, who directed harsh criticisms at them for collaborating with an artist who had previously been convicted of rape and sentenced to six years in prison.
