Details of the Departure of the Artist Mohamed Marzaban and His Last Will

Khaberni - The Egyptian artist Mohamed Marzaban passed away this Wednesday morning, succumbing to severe injuries he sustained in a horrific traffic accident that occurred a few days ago on the Egypt–Ismailia road, according to Ashraf Zaki, head of the acting profession.

According to local media, Marzaban was riding his motorcycle last Saturday evening when a speeding car collided with him near the Serapeum area in Ismailia governorate in the north of the country, resulting in the motorcycle's destruction and Marzaban sustaining serious injuries. He was subsequently transported to the hospital.

Medical reports indicated that the late artist suffered from suspected fractures in the spinal column and cervical vertebrae, along with brain hemorrhage and multiple internal injuries in the chest and abdomen, as well as scattered bruises across his body.

Despite undergoing urgent brain surgery to attempt to stop the bleeding, his health condition did not improve, before sharply deteriorating in the last hours, leading to his death in the intensive care unit.

Detaining the Person Involved in the Accident

The security forces in Ismailia Security Directorate – in coordination with the relevant authorities – managed to identify the vehicle involved in the accident and apprehend its driver, following search efforts and investigations to trace the vehicle's route and locate the suspect.

The efforts included examining a number of pathways and roads leading to the accident site and making use of the necessary technical means, before locating the vehicle and its driver and taking legal actions against him in preparation for his presentation to the competent investigative authorities.

The Last Will

In related events, the wife of the deceased artist revealed his last will, which included an unusual request that mourners wear white clothes instead of black during his funeral, in an attempt by him to leave life with a more peaceful atmosphere and away from traditional mourning.

The will sparked widespread interaction among his fans, many of whom saw it as a reflection of his calm personality and positive spirit, and his desire for his humane impact to remain present even after his departure.

40 Years of Passion for Motorcycles

Mohamed Marzaban had spoken in a previous television interview about his passion for motorcycles, explaining that his relationship with them began at the beginning of the 1980s and continued for more than four decades.

He mentioned that his family initially opposed the idea of him owning a motorcycle due to fears of road accidents, but he persisted with this hobby, which accompanied him alongside his artistic career for many years.

A Rich Artistic Career

His artistic career began in the mid-nineties, where he participated in early cinematic works such as "Revealing the Hidden" and "Survivors of Fire," before moving to television drama and becoming known in a large number of works, most notably "Where is My Heart", "Kafr Delhab", "The Legend", "The Black Horse", and "Temporary Name".

In recent years, Marzaban continued his artistic activities through various participations, the last of which were in the series "Rose, Jasmine, and Marigold" and "A Father But,” leaving a void in the Egyptian artistic scene with his departure.
