Khaberni - Egyptian retired actress Shams El-Baroudi revealed that her personal Facebook page was hacked today, Wednesday, by an unknown person who posted an indecent video clip, causing her significant embarrassment among her followers.
Shams El-Baroudi wrote a lengthy post on her Facebook account detailing the incident, stating that she woke up to numerous phone calls which she was unable to answer, only to be surprised by a call from her daughter who informed her about the indecent video published on her page.
She added that she checked the page, found the inappropriate video which she couldn't watch due to its offensive content, and swiftly deleted it. She also asked her daughter to secure her account to prevent a recurrence.
Shams El-Baroudi confirmed she intended to report the incident to the cybercrime unit, but her daughter told her that would not be possible since the video had been deleted and they could no longer locate the person who posted it.
It is noteworthy that actress Shams El-Baroudi had been sharing some details of her daily life with her followers through posting video clips on Facebook for several months, discussing her memories with her husband, actor Hassan Youssef, and some of the activities she engaged in daily.
Shams El-Baroudi is an Egyptian actress born in Warraq al-Hadar, Giza in 1945. She studied at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts for only two and a half years before beginning her artistic career in the early sixties.
Shams El-Baroudi achieved widespread fame, becoming one of the most famous cinema actresses. She then married actor Hassan Youssef and their marriage lasted until his recent death. Shams El-Baroudi was a pivotal element in the films directed by her husband, including "The Coward and Love," "Fat Cats," and "Two on the Road."
In the mid-1980s, Shams El-Baroudi decided to retire from acting and wear the hijab after a pilgrimage she undertook with her father to perform the Umrah rituals.
