Cairo Security arrests a foreigner who chased Miss Egypt and threatened her life

Khaberni - A post shared by the Egyptian artist Ereen Yousry, former Miss Egypt, caused widespread controversy on social media platforms after she revealed being terrorized by a "foreigner" on the streets of Cairo.

Following the Egyptian artist's plea for help, the Egyptian security forces responded immediately.

The incident began when the star of the series "Everyone Loves Modi" pleaded for help on her official Instagram account, explaining that one person's admiration for her turned into a real chase and continuous tracking of her workplace and home.

She pointed out that this person started imposing a fictional love story and claiming that he was her fiancé, even going so far as to block her car and present a "wedding ring" to her in public places under threat.

The violations did not stop at stalking; Ereen Yousry confirmed that the situation escalated to thuggery and physical violence, as the accused attacked her personal driver, causing him to quit his job fearing for his safety, confirming that her life and the lives of those close to her had become endangered due to these direct threats.

The security forces at the Egyptian Ministry of Interior took action to examine what was circulated, and although there were no prior official complaints in this matter, they were able to identify the suspect and his location.

The security forces successfully arrested the concerned individual, revealing that he was a worker "holding nationality of a country" residing in the jurisdiction of the Sayeda Zeinab police station in Cairo.

Upon confronting the accused, he openly confessed to committing the incident, justifying his stalking of the artist and attacking her driver by his desire to marry her, and the necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident and it was referred to the public prosecutor’s office to begin investigations.
