Khaberni - US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that it is "possible" to withdraw US forces from Italy and Spain, in response to a question about whether he would consider this step.
Trump said on Wednesday that his administration is considering the possibility of reducing U.S. forces in Germany, adding that a decision will be made soon.
Trump mentioned on the Truth Social platform "The United States is studying and considering the possibility of reducing its forces in Germany, and a decision will be made in the near future".
Trump's post comes after his criticism of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Tuesday over the war in Iran, a day after Merz stated that the Iranians were humiliating the United States in negotiations aimed at ending the war.
The Trump administration has repeatedly criticized many NATO members for not participating in the American-Israeli war against Iran, including scolding some for not sending naval forces to help open the Strait of Hormuz.
