It is expected, God willing, on Saturday that a Khamsini depression will approach the eastern Mediterranean basin, resulting in a noticeable rise in temperatures, and the weather will be warm in various regions of the kingdom during daylight hours, and inclined to be hot during midday and afternoon, with the appearance of clouds at medium and high altitudes.
Sunday 3-5-2026: A Khamsini depression followed by a colder-than-usual air mass starting in the evening
During the early hours of Sunday, it is expected, God willing, that the kingdom and the region will be affected by the Khamsini depression, and the maximum temperatures will be around the mid-twenties Celsius, with a gradual increase in the proportion of dust in the atmosphere, turning the weather dusty in many areas.
And during the late hours of the day, the kingdom will start to be affected by the influx of a colder-than-usual air mass following the Khamsini depression, leading to a clear and rapid decrease in temperatures, and the weather turns notably cold in the evening and night of Sunday/Monday, with the appearance of clouds at various altitudes, and local muddy rainfalls are possible in limited areas.
Warning of dense dust waves on Sunday including border crossings and desert roads
The southwesterly to westerly winds gradually pick up, becoming active in speed across all regions, and strong in the regions of the desert and eastern plains, accompanied by severe gusts there that may touch or exceed 100 km/h.
These winds lead to the stirring of sandstorms and dense dust waves in the desert areas, particularly south and east of the kingdom, including the desert areas and desert highway, as well as external roads, including the international road connecting the capital Amman with Baghdad (Baghdad International Road), as well as border crossings such as: Al-Omari, Al-Turaibil, Al-Mudawara, where a significant reduction in horizontal visibility is expected especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
