Report The cost of the war on Iran ranges between 40 and 50 billion dollars

Khaberni - CNN quoted a source estimating that the cost of the war on Iran so far ranges between 40 and 50 billion dollars, but this amount does not include the costs of rebuilding military facilities and replacing assets.
The information indicates that the cited figure primarily reflects the costs of direct military operations, such as the consumption of ammunition and fuel, and the operating costs of bases and forces, in addition to part of the funding allocated to the war support package being considered by the US administration.

In contrast, the estimate does not yet include expenses associated with the reconstruction of Iran's military infrastructure, or the extended effects of the war on the regional economy and oil markets, which means that the total cost of the conflict could significantly increase in later stages if operations continue and expansion in the reconstruction campaigns occurs.

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has announced that the administration may send a request to Congress for substantial additional funding for the Pentagon, allocated for continuing the war with Iran and purchasing ammunition.

Hegseth clarified during hearings before the House Armed Services Committee that the additional request, if made, "the majority of it would not be allocated to Iran, but to ammunition," indicating that the executive authority will ask Congress for less than 25 billion dollars to continue the military operation against Iran.

Hegseth said during the session: "Regarding Iran, it will be less than 25 billion dollars. But there is much more that we will generally request, including the cost of replenishing depleted arsenals."

Hegseth's statements come in a broader context where the administration of President Donald Trump is advancing a record Pentagon budget request of 1.5 trillion dollars, an increase of 50% from the previous year's budget, and it represents the largest increase in defense spending since World War II.

The Acting Comptroller of the Pentagon, Jules Horst III, announced the previous day that the total spending on American military operations against Iran has so far reached about 25 billion dollars, in estimates that seem much lower than the reality.

It is worth mentioning that the 1.5 trillion dollar budget does not include the cost of the war with Iran, as the administration is separately seeking to obtain additional funding exceeding 200 billion dollars, according to previous reports.
