Khaberni - The Ministry of Environment announced that it has followed the video circulating on social media, which shows someone throwing waste from his vehicle's window, confirming that it has been referred to the relevant authorities for necessary legal action.
The ministry clarified in a statement today, Tuesday, that in coordination with the Public Security Directorate, the identity of the vehicle was determined and the driver was penalized according to the prevailing Traffic Law, due to the environmental damage caused by this behavior.
The ministry confirmed that these measures are part of its continuous efforts to curb the phenomenon of random waste disposal and to enhance compliance with laws regulating public cleanliness, urging citizens to refrain from throwing waste from vehicles or in public places due to the negative effects on the environment and public health.
The ministry also urged citizens to report any environmental violations or similar negative behaviors, which will enable the relevant authorities to take legal action against the offenders and establish a culture of shared responsibility in protecting the environment.
