Death of a Driver Following Collision with a Light Pole on AlLajoun Road in Karak

Khaberni - A private vehicle driver died on Tuesday morning following a severe collision incident on "Al-Lajoun" road in Karak Governorate.

The Highway Patrol Directorate reported that the operations room received a notification at 6:00 AM about a vehicle deviating and crashing into a roadside light pole, resulting in the immediate death of the driver due to severe injuries.

Site Procedures and Warnings
Civil Defense personnel and security groups rushed to the accident site. The body was evacuated to Prince Ali Military Hospital in Karak, while patrol officers worked on removing debris and organizing traffic flow to ensure smooth circulation.

The security agencies renewed their call for drivers to adhere to traffic safety rules and to avoid distractions, especially during morning hours, in order to prevent such tragic accidents.

The desert road had witnessed, on Monday, a horrific incident involving the ignition of three oil tankers in the area just before "Suwaqa" in Karak Governorate.

The massive fire at that time resulted in a complete closure of traffic movement and disrupted flow temporarily as the tankers were heading from Aqaba towards the capital, Amman. Meanwhile, civil defense personnel exerted strenuous efforts to control the flames and prevent them from spreading, in an incident that led to the stopping of hundreds of vehicles on the international road.
