Khaberni - The Jordanian Artists Syndicate issued a statement confirming its focused attention to the clips and statements circulated on social media by an individual impersonating an “artist”, pointing out that these statements included unacceptable religious offenses and misconceptions, and are entirely unrelated to the societal and cultural values on which authentic Jordanian art is based.
Driven by its professional and national responsibilities, the syndicate clarified that it has no relationship with the referred individual, who is not listed in its official records, nor has the syndicate ever interacted with or recognized him in any professional or syndicate capacity, expressing its outright rejection of any disrespect to religious values or any attempt to misuse the status of art to harm the community or stir discord.
In its statement, the syndicate emphasized that art is a noble mission based on the respect of national and religious constants and enhancing cultural awareness, and must not serve as a platform for spreading misconceptions. It declared full reservation of its right to take necessary legal actions in coordination with the relevant authorities should these practices continue or affect the reputation of the artistic community. Additionally, it urged the media and social media influencers to ensure accuracy and not indiscriminately attribute the title “artist” without verifying legal and professional status.
