Khaberni - A state of sadness mixed with shock dominated the Saudi artistic scene, following the announcement of the sudden death of the artist Adel Al-Otaibi after a prolific career that lasted for more than 25 years, in which he was distinguished by his roles that combined light-heartedness and meaningful social messages.
The sadness was further intensified by the fact that death did not allow the artist to see the new comedy "Thro Thro", a series directed by Jalal Al-Salami, expected to be aired soon on the stc tv platform, serving as the artist’s last appearance, who remained faithful to his art until his final moments, without officially announcing the cause of death.
Artists and followers mourned the deceased with heartfelt words, remembering his rich career and roles that left a clear mark on the memory of the Saudi and Gulf viewers, especially in works that combined fun atmospheres with dramatic presentations discussing societal issues.
Al-Otaibi’s artistic journey began in 1999 through his participation in the series "Family Affairs", before he cemented his name as one of the familiar faces on screen. He also participated in several prominent series, including "Time and People", and "When the Moon is Full."
He was also associated with the famous series "Tash Ma Tash", in which he participated in parts 16, 17, and 18, contributing to the success of one of the most prominent comedic works in the Gulf.
He also participated in the series "Selfie" alongside Nasser Al-Qasabi, and "The Return", in addition to "Romeo and Wish", which was aired this year and garnered significant audience engagement.
